Angel Food Ministries has been helping people lower their food budget since 1994. A non-profit, non-denominational organization, Angel Food Ministries is dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States. By buying food from first rate suppliers at substantial volume discounts, Angel Food Ministries is able to provide families with food boxes containing approximately $65 worth of quality nutritious food for just $30. Make no mistake, Angel Food Ministries does not use second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe. Generally, one box of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month.
Each month’s menu is different and consists of fresh, frozen and packaged food. There is no purchase limit for boxes of Angel Food. In addition, each month Angel Food Ministries also offers “specialty boxes” of steak, chicken, pork, fruits and vegetables or other foods! There are no qualifications, minimums, income restrictions, or applications. Everyone is encouraged to participate and lower their monthly food budget. Angel Food Ministries also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program.
Orders and distribution are handled by church host sites. Orders are collected by the host sites, (in some instances you may place your order online), turned in to the Angel Food main office in Georgia by the monthly order deadline and approximately two weeks later, on a predetermined date, distribution takes place at the host church.
