Pastors Joe and Linda Britto
MEET OUR PASTORS:
Pastors Joe and Linda Britto are both 1996 graduates of Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, OK.
Knowing that God was calling them back to make a difference in New Bedford, following graduation they immediately began preparations for their return. Pastor Joe and Linda pioneered Redeeming Family Church in New Bedford, Massachusetts in July of 1996, where they serve as co-pastors.
Both growing up in
New Bedford,
Pastor Joe was the oldest of five children in a single-parent home, where he became the father figure at a young age within the family nucleus. Growing up in a local low-income housing development, he went to school full time and also worked to help his mom support the household.
Pastor Joe received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour at age 15 and shortly after met his wife, Linda, at a church youth group they both attended. Pastors Joe and Linda have been happily married since 1982 and have three children, Joey, Alycia and Ashleigh.
They are also the proud grandparents of three grandchildren.
Pastor Joe is currently a House Director at Chamberlain School, in Middleboro, MA, serving struggling teen boys.
Pastor Linda was the second girl and fourth child in a family with six children. She received Jesus as Lord and Saviour at the age of 18. She is a 1981 graduate of Eastern Nazerene College.
In 2006, Pastor Linda returned to school in 2006 to fulfill a life-time vision of becoming a nurse. She completed her course of study as part of an accelerated two-year program and graduated in June of 2008. She is currently employed by Pediatric Associates of Fall River and also serves at the New Bedford Crisis Center.
